Proverbs 8:11 "For wisdom is better than jewels: And all desirable things can not compare with her."
The following are due after Thanksgiving break:

  • Spelling tests-Wednesday and Friday
  • Chapter 5 test in English on verbs Tuesday
  • Chapter 10 test in Heritage Studies on Wednesday over U.S. holidays
  • Book report on Wednesday on "My America", 'Dear America", or "American girl" series book. Project choices are a letter, diorama, or dress-up as stated on project sheet sent home.
  • We will be video taping our part for the Christmas program on Wednesday with Miss Dorman. If your child received a speaking part, please be sure he or she is ready to recite part from memory. Also please help your child memorize the highlighted verses on the song "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" as we will be singing that song in the concert on Thursday, December 9th after our video of Christmas cards is shown. Students should have brought home song Friday with spelling list and test schedule.
  • Have a wonderful break thanking the Lord for all He has done for us!

Proverbs 8:11 "For wisdom is better than jewels; And all desirable things cannot compare with her."

  • Spelling tests on Wednesday and Friday.
  • The holiday report is due Wednesday. Students may bring an item to show ,food to sample, or wear something to represent the holiday. Be sure all areas on report form are filled in.
  • Bible verse is due on Friday.
  • Bible test on lessons 10-12 will be on Friday.
  • The America Heritage Day program will be in the Worship Center at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Our class will be performing "Yankee Doodle" on the recorders and accompanying the 2nd graders as they sing the song. Please join us if you are able. Students may be dismissed after the program if desired.
  • Thanksgiving break will be November 22-26.

Proverbs 8:1 "Does not wisdom call, And understanding lift up her voice?"

  • Chap. 3 Math test on Wednesday.
  • Holiday report due on November 17th. All students selected a holiday to report on in class to enhance our unit in Heritage Studies on American holidays. The children were also given a form to fill out and they may bring in any visual or taste samples to go along with their report.
  • Spelling tests on Wednesday and Friday.
  • Memory verse due on Friday-Proverbs 3:5-6
  • The next book report will be due on December 1st. Information will be sent home this Wednesday.
  • American Heritage Day is Friday, the 19th. The class will be playing their recorders. The program will be in the Worship Center at 10:30 a.m. This is an optional half day. The children may be dismissed after the program.
  • I still need one parent for the physical fitness testing on the 18th. If you would like to help, please let me know ASAP. Thanks.
